Dear Parents and Guardians,
The use of masks will be optional for all students and staff effective today, Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Any student or staff member who wishes to continue to wear a mask may continue to do so and we recommend that unvaccinated individuals and individuals with certain medical conditions continue to wear masks.

As an extra precaution to help minimize the risk of a COVID surge in our schools after Easter Break, all students and staff will be required to wear a mask April 19-22, the week after we return from Easter Break.

Please see the attached letter for important details

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Mask Mandate Update
3/3/2022
For now, all staff and students are still required to wear masks. The Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH) has announced that if COVID case counts remain low for the City of Philadelphia, they will relax the mask mandate for schools starting Wednesday, March 9. If PDPH relaxes the mask mandate, mask-wearing would be optional for all students and staff. However, to minimize the potential for a surge in our schools after Easter break, masks would be required from April 19 through April 22.

It is extremely important to read the attached letter from Independence Mission Schools CEO Bruce Robinson for details about the mask mandate update and our health and safety goals.

Thank you for your continued partnership in our efforts to maintain a safe, healthy, in-person learning environment for our students.

Sincerely,
Ms. Rosalie Doherty, Principal
